General Office Assistant_Hospitality related supplier of excellent, wide range of products to various hotels, lodges, spas, etc. required to independently run the office situated in the South of Johannesburg.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Understanding of the hospitality industry would be highly advantageous particularly Tourist Grading / Ratings
Basic accounting skills for quoting, invoicing and statements (Pastel Xpress)
Excellent telephone etiquette for answering calls and customer interaction
Computer literate – Excel, Word, Outlook with Pastel
Great command of the English language for e-mailing, telephonic discussions and dealing with walk-in customers
Packing orders – various items
General filing
Dealing with courier companies (booking / collection / delivery)
Placing orders with suppliers
Checking stock
Marketing of The Client at various establishments throughout South Africa
Following up on quotes done on a weekly basis
Working closely with the company’s distributors
Problem solving skills
Enthusiastic
Innovative and able to come up with ideas
Willing to work at exhibitions when required
Keeping stock sheets up to date
Additional Information:
Non-Smoker
Highly responsible and able to work with limited supervision
Valid driver’s licence
Uniform to be provided
Incentives and commission to be discussed
Working hours – Monday to Thursday – 08:30 to 16:30, Friday 08:30 to 16:00
One Saturday per month – end of month stock take from 10:00 to 14:00
