Material Handling Equipment Coordinator will be responsible to ensure that all business practices involving material handling equipment utilises the most innovative and optimal solutions in order to reach the best cost efficiency potential

Duties

Responsible to obtain new material handling equipment quotations, assess specifications and ensure efficient implementation thereof;
Responsible to initiate appropriate interventions to secure compliance in terms of material handling service delivery, quality and innovation;
Responsible for the total preventative maintenance system for motorised equipment;
Responsible to consult with the operational head at the respective site in order to implement effective and efficient business practises and cost efficiency improvements in respect of existing material handling equipment;
Responsible to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and standards ensure the effective application of occupational health and safety standards throughout the MHE fleet and department;
Responsible to develop, implement and maintain procedures related to materials handling equipment in line with standards;
Responsible to design, publish and interpret meaningful reporting and KPI’s;
Responsible to provide input on efficiency improvements, appropriate equipment and specifications for both current and new operations.

Experience & Qualification

Grade 12
Relevant Tertiary qualification
MS Office
Two years’ relevant work experience
