Storeman urgently wanted: Salary R7 000 per month

Storeman will be responsible to Controls the receipting, storage and movement of stock items applying specific procedure to enable identification with replenishing / order requirements, controlling of stock movement, attending to the recording and reporting of stock levels and adjustments as well as providing guidance and support to personnel in respect of specific stock and storekeeping applications.

Duties:

Verifying / checking the supplier documentation against physical items ordered / received and thereby verifying quantity, quality and specifications prior to acknowledging receipt or recording short delivery / damages/ as per documentation.
Quality checking of procured materials / stock against specifications.
Attending to the rotation of all stock based on the “first in – first out” principles’ and positioning items taking into consideration “shelf life span”.
Monitoring stock levels against established safety / set stock levels, identifying slow or aging stock items and giving guidance and approval or changes to the stock control guidelines
Updating stock registers and control sheets, reflecting applicable balances, movement and stock on hand..
Ensure that all stores are kept clean, neat, tidy and always adhering to Safe Stacking and Storing guidelines as set out in the OHSA and thereby adhere to company Health and Safety Standards and Procedures.
Initiate and participate in monthly stock takes.
Prepare and raise purchase requisition as well update tracking / monitoring these requisitions.
Ensure proper housekeeping in the workplace.
Adhere to all policies and procedures.
Perform general tasks that may be required from time to time.
Assist in shipment documentation and all packing list

Experience and Education

Proven experience in running a Mechanical & Electrical store /s.
3 Years proven, extensive experience in a similar position.
Matric.
Excellent skills in warehousing, inspection, and issuing of stock/supplies.
Excellent proven interpersonal skills.
The ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions.
The ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills.
The ability to lift and carry products/materials up to but not exceeding 25kg’s.
