To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Departmental Head and to Banks and Payment Providers Department to ensure that office operations are efficient and successful. The person appointed to this position will report directly to the Departmental Head.
Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Departmental Head and the whole department;
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence and telephone calls;
Manage and co-ordinate the diary of the Departmental Head;
Plan and arrange departmental meetings, workshops and functions;
Take minutes of departmental meetings as and when required;
Maintain files and records with effective filing systems for the department;
Manage travel and accommodation arrangements for the department;
Manage the procurement of assets within the department;
Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders for the department;
Assist with the preparation of documents and slides for presentations for the department;
Attend to administrative and client enquiries, as well as general administrative support to the department; and
Assist with ad-hoc activities as and when required.

A Matric certificate plus a relevant Secretarial qualification, with at least 2 to 3 years relevant working experience. The candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and other commonly used office software products. The candidate must have experience in coordinating and the scheduling of regular staff and management meetings, gathering agenda items and materials as required. The candidate must have knowledge of developing and maintaining all office support procedures through supervision of staff to ensure that Departmental Head’s office support tasks are performed in a timely and efficient manner
