Purpose

Implement the Synchronised National Communication in Health (SyNCH) or a Central Chronic Medicines Dispensing and Distribution (CCMDD) electronic system at public healthcare facilities, approved pick up points including management of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) support staff.

Qualification and experience

Matric plus a relevant 3 year qualification in Information Technology Systems
Minimum of 3 year experience in Desktop support, Local and Wide Area networks
Additional certification in A+, N+, MSCA/MCSE and CCNA advantageous
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
Fluency in English and a local language is a requirement
Knowledge of the public health sector policies and procedures will be advantageous.

Roles and Responsibilities

Facilitates meetings with Provincial and District Health officials
Analyse public health sector data
Conduct readiness assessment in health facilities and approved pick up points
Determine information system requirements and define project objectives
Recommend appropriate systems including hardware and software
Assist in design, customisation and piloting of the system
Compile and present reports
Implement the system and train users
