Duties and responsibilities:
Assist lecturers with undergraduate student practical sessions in the physiology laboratory.
Assist with academic facilitation during group work.
Assist lecturers with the processing of marks.
Assist lecturers with any research projects that may arise with regard to the above-mentioned.
Involvement in the departmental research program.
Assist lecturers with research studies and literature searches.
Inherent requirements:
B Med Sc. or BSc degree with Physiology as main subject.
Two (2) to three (3) years’ relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities as listed above.
A good academic record.
Required competencies:
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s richly diverse working environment.
Ability to function independently, as well as in a team environment.

Strategic thinking.
Building coalitions.
Recommendations:
B Med Sc. or B.Sc. Hons degree in Human Physiology.
Proven academic working experience on higher education level.
Knowledge of an additional South African language.
Valid driver’s license.
Assumption of duties:
As soon as possible.
