Specification
This position exists to ensure the safe efficient installation, maintenance and repairs of all steel pipes, chutes, conveyors and other coal beneficiation plant equipment and specialised steel manufacturing.
Health and Safety
Ensure to wear correct PPE at all times
Attend pre-shift meetings
Report unsafe conditions and -behaviour
Adhere to FAMP and client policies and procedures
Always behave safe
Maintenance and Fabrication
Implement maintenance schedules
Maintains\repairs all mechanical equipment
Conduct plant inspection on all key mechanical equipment
Identifies and prioritize equipment in need of maintenance/repairs
Plans downtime for repairs/maintenance
Plans for material and men to assist
Inform foreman
Do risk assessment/study procedures
Do repairs/maintenance
Fabricate general steelwork
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
N3 – Mechanical engineering subjects
Trade test-Boilermaker- MQA/MERSETA preferred
EXPERIENCE
5 years minimum post trade test experience as Boilermaker (Section 13 Artisan)
2 year Learnership/Apprentice in Mining or Construction
