POSITION SYNOPSIS:
The purpose of the role is to prepare mining equipment. To provide general assistance to ensure safe and cost-effective mining.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting of incident, accidents and property damage;
Minimize cost through responsible work conduct;
Assist during pick and sleeve changes and relocation of the CM;
Execute support as per the Support Rule; Load and haul coal to the feeder breaker as per the SOP;
Monitor and report any issues regarding efficiency, performance and breakdowns of the shuttle-car and roofbolter;
Compliance with the Emergency Preparedness and Response requirements;
Report incidents, accidents and property damage; Reporting of Significant Incidents as Amazees.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Serious contenders will have a Grade 12 with Mathematics or Science / Grade 10 (internal candidates) with 2 year’s general working experience in an underground production section;
Competent A and/or B certificate is essential;
Machine licenses for roof bolter (Fletcher) and shuttle car (C-Cars) is essential;
Strata Control 1 is essential (Internal candidates);
Operate Mining Machinery (OMM) training is essential;
Passing the Dover test is essential.
