Experience:

At least 5 years’ experience in the relevant trade in a supervisory position.
Have some understanding of contractual requirements.

Must be computer literate.
Must be language proficient (English).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Every Site Supervisor shall as far as is reasonably practical, ensure that the duties of his employer as contemplated relevant Country specific Health and Safety Legislation, are properly discharged.
Organise and assign work to Trade Foreman or workforce.
Plan and report requirements for manpower, materials and equipment.
Co-ordinate work with other supervisors, contracts and sub-contractors on a daily basis to minimise work interferences.
Instruct personnel in good housekeeping and safety practices.
Maintain work rules and work force discipline.
Monitor and control progress of construction work within the schedule for the assigned area.
Maintain a properly detailed and accurate diary of the construction work accomplished.
Organise and direct the work force to accomplish construction in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
Observe the sub-contractors’ operations and record daily accomplishments, problems, and manpower and equipment usage. Take remedial action on shortcomings in co-ordination with the responsible Manager.
Measure performance and certify progress payment reports.
Inspect materials and equipment as installed for compliance with contract plans and specifications.
