Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of service (telephonically) to Customers, SBIB provincial offices, SBSA branches, Underwriters and Brokers by resolving insurance policy queries((Vehicle and Contents insurance by various insurers i.e Santam, Auto & General, etc.)
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Query resolution
Resolves insurance related queries and complaints from customers;
Ensures that all own targets are met;
Facilitates the development of customer and business loyalty
through relationship management and consistently portray a
professional corporate image in accordance with the values of SBIS
and SBSA.
Cross Selling
Analysis clients profile to recommend best suitable products
Identifies customer insurance needs and gaps
Re broking or upselling on existing or new products.
Inbound call centre adherence
Takes inbound calls and avoid a high abandonment rate
Risk and Compliance
Adheres to SBIS and SBSA code of conduct in relation to promoting
and being a brand ambassador;
Adheres to all operating procedures and processes to avoid
professional indemnity exposure and reputational risk;
Adheres to scheduled times and achieve compliance of 95%.
Achieve in excess of 95% in productivity and following all
procedures and processes (lowering the risk of P.I. claims);
Quality of relationships gained or sustained; Overall CEBS
(customer rating)
Efficiency and effectiveness
Increase in retention volumes (eg. cancellation requests)
Quality of the work, Call Audit rating of 100%
Customer satisfaction
Abandonment rate must be below 5% on a daily basis

Minimum qualifications: Matric
Certifications: NQF Short Term Insurance: Personal Lines FAIS
accreditation, FAIS, Regulatory Exam
Training courses: System Application Programme On-line Learning for Multi Product Insurance products
FAIS compliant: Yes, 120 FAIS credits
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Call centre experience – 1 year
Short Term Insurance – 2 years Minimum of 2 years call centre/telephone experience;
More than 1 language would be an advantage. Afrikaans an advantage
