Position – Audit Manager

Level – Associate-Level

Experience – 1 to 2 years’ post articles experience

Qualification – B.Com Accounting, preferably Chartered Accountant

Salary – R18k to R25k pm ctc, depending on experience

Great opportunity at a large audit and financial management firm in Port Elizabeth exists for an Audit Supervisor.

Main Duties

Plan and execute audit engagements within budgets and time frames
Determine appropriate audit approach including the designing of audit procedures
Perform audit fieldwork
Carry out initial review of audit working papers and audit files to ensure accuracy and completeness of work in line with the required auditing and accounting standards.
Produce client reports (annual financial statements, minutes, certificates and report to management).
Finalize audit engagements and propose audit opinion
Liaise with Partners, Staff and Clients on all aspects of the audit
Allocate work to audit trainee accountants and review work completed by staff assigned to jobs
Provide on the job coaching & feedback to trainee accountants
Ensure the latest statutory knowledge is applied and undergo any required training.
Maintain effective client relationships.

Requirements

Completed SAICA articles is essential.
1 – 2 year out of articles experience in an auditing environment is advantageous.
Minimum B.Com Accounting Degree, preferred CA(SA) qualification.
Proficient in the application of IFRS, IFRS for SME, and ISA.
Proficient in Caseware and Microsoft Office products.
Mentoring/Supervisory experience in an auditing environment.
Must be able to plan, execute, supervise the execution of fieldwork and finalizing of audit engagements.
Must be able to prepare annual financial statements.
Must be willing to travel and perform long term external assignments.

Salary – R18k to R25k per month, depending on experience.
