Job Specification Overview:
Develop an in-depth business understanding & knowledge
Establish & maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle ie. serve as a liaison between stakeholders (business units, technology teams & support teams) & users i.e. helps narrow gap between business & IT
Assist stakeholders to create a common understanding of the concept, vision, scope, objectives & business value of technology solution request/s
Assist business owners with input to a business case (if required)
Facilitate requirement workshops
Elicit, analyse, communicate & validate requirements i.e. gather, analyse, clarify & understand business requirements, rules & dependencies – ensure that requirements are clear, complete & unambiguous
Document requirements by preparing a Business Requirements & Rules Specification
Analyse implications of changes in requirements; make recommendations
Perform root causes analysis i.e. understand root cause of specific business problem/s by reviewing, analysing & evaluating business systems & user needs
Work with the Product Owner to prioritise features & develop user stories
Manage & store requirements & business rules & ensure that documentation accurately reflects changes & outstanding issues
Verify requirements including working with tester/s to i) define test cases, & ii) assist with UAT
Assist in planning pilots to facilitate system adoption
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification preferable
Business Analysis Certification preferable (e.g. FTI)
1+ Years’ experience as an analyst
Understanding of data gathering techniques
Excellent interviewing, analytical & writing skills
Experience documenting requirements
Experience working in agile preferable
