An excellent opportunity exists for Trainee Accountants at a large mid-tier auditing, tax, outsourcing and advisory firm in the country, located in Cape Town.

Due to the rapid growth the firm is experiencing, they require additional 2nd and 3rd year Trainee Accountants to join their 3 year SAICA Training Contract programme in Cape Town. The Accountant Traineeship is a 3 year training contract (with Recognition of Prior Learning where possible) whereby you will learn all the necessary SAICA competencies to pass your APC qualification in order to register as a Chartered Accountant.

The firm is looking for a self-confident individual with that is currently under a SAICA training contract and posses a completed CTA, who likes to work as part of a team, but is also willing to take initiative and capable of working independently.

This dynamic firm is a leader in their chosen markets, providing assurance, tax, advisory and outsourcing services to dynamic organisations, including listed companies, large privately held businesses and private equity-backed organisations. They also have significant capabilities in the public sector market.

The appointee will be responsible for the performing of various functions within the business and will report directly the audit seniors/managers,

Qualification

Honours / PGDA / CTA or equivalent level qualification at a SAICA recognised University
Candidates who have attempted the above-mentioned qualification will also be considered.
The applicants must currently be registered under a SAICA training contract.
Minimum 1 year of completed articles.
Computer skills

Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Office (Excel / Word)
Salary – R12K – R22K, within prescribed SAICA Bands
