Events Coordinator & Administrator required for a well-established events company in Bryanston
The position requires an enthusiastic, energetic and self-driven candidate with an exceptional track record and proven experience. Events Coordination experience is essential.
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Daily liaison with clients/events
Implementation and execution of a variety of events and conferences
Management of third party suppliers
Onsite event management from set up to closure assisting the Project Manager
Management of various social media campaigns
Management of various company databases
Negotiate rates with suppliers where required.
To continually look at creative ideas and review products that are offered to clients.
To build and retain relationships with clients
To ensure effective communication and feedback is provided to Clients at all times.
To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously to Event Managers or Clients.
To follow-up with clients and follow-up on leads
Establish the reason for decline on proposals
To ensure that job bags are updated at all times.
To ensure that budgets worked on are updated and accurate.
To be financially accountable for each aspect of the file.
To follow-up with clients and suppliers on a continual basis with regards to outstanding payments and information.
To build and maintain good relationships within the team.
Pro-actively get involved.
Requirements
Events Coordination Skills
Experience with exhibitions, product Launches, roadshows, corporate events, conferences & incentives
Creativity
Prepare and present proposals
Manage an event from start to finish where required
Liaise with various role-players and suppliers and facilitate the smooth running of the event
Social media management experience
Strong administration skills
Essentials
Minimum of Matric qualification
Must live in Sandton/Randburg or immediate surrounds
Minimum of four years’ experience gained in coordinating events is essential
Strong operational knowledge and experience
A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle – not negotiable
As a requirement of the position it is essential that the candidate is able to work longer hours, including weekends occasionally
Be willing to travel occasionally
Flexibility to assist colleagues out of normal office hours, when required
Excellent command of the English language and a professional phone manner is essential for this position
