**PIHE Commerce Lecturer**

**Midrand Campus**

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lecturing and 1-on-1 student support of various Marketing modules across the Pearson Institute for Higher Education programmes run on campus.

Marking of assessments.

Preparation of notes and additional study materials and class assessments.

To assist in the administration of Campus affairs and activities as required by the Academic Manager.

Assistance with the preparation, coordination and attendance at functions, events and activities (open/career days).

**Qualifications**

BASIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Minimum qualification

Honours Degree in Commerce (specialising in Marketing)

Relevant lecturing, teaching or tutoring experience

Experience in a higher education environment will be beneficial

Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes

Relevant Marketing experience preferable.

Required competencies:
Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment

Excellent communication skills- assertive and approachable to students

Professional knowledge in their area of expertise

Quality Orientation including attention to detail and deadline-awareness

Innovative; ability to solve problems alone and within the team
