Duties

Analysis of Incidences: Gathering information relating to all injuries, near misses, health and safety, accidents, spillages, etc.
Corrective or preventative actions provided for incidents. Perform Pareto Analysis, and reporting of all incidences to the Local Authorities as per OSH Act requirements.
SHE monitoring as per SHE Monitoring Plan inclusive of mandatory legislative monitoring.
Internal audits
Ensure various monthly inspections completed
Project Management
Waste Management
Contractor Control
General Administration including coordinating meetings with stakeholders
Maintain and update of legal registers, Safety corporate procedures, work instructions and other forms reviewed and updated as well as preparing Safety Newsletter
Prepare monthly management reports
External Communication and update registers

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety; Environmental Management or a related field
3 years’ experience managing Safety, Health and Environmental programmes
2 Years Managerial experience
Understanding and liaison with external Local Authorities and Statutory Institutions for all SHE requirements
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 18000 Standards
Thorough knowledge of the OSH Act and relevant regulations + Environmental Legislation and codes
General principles of SHE programme administration
Knowledge of techniques of accident/incident prevention. Investigation, Analysis and reporting
