New Position: Medical ReceptionistSCP Radiology Panorama Medi Clinic2 September 2019Objective: Will be responsible for frontline reception duties to ensure good business flow and contribute to delivering an excellent service to patients.

Requirements:

• Matric

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification

• 3+ Years’ experience in a medical practice

• Knowledge of X-ray examinations, tariff codes and ICD 10 codes

• Driver’s License and own Vehicle

• South African citizenship or valid South African work permitDuties and

Key Responsibilities:

• Clerical and administrative duties.

• Pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient bookings prior to the appointment with recent test results and correspondence.

• Respond to patient communications and transfer calls or delivers complete messages to the appropriate individual per practice protocol.

• Assemble patient records for new patients and prepare job cards for all patients; requests patient information from outside sources as needed.

• Check patients in and out, verifies medical aid/benefit coverage and collect co-pays and/or a payment toward account balances at the time of service.

• Maintain the computerized appointment schedule; schedules appointments and ensures patients receive appointment reminders, examination procedures and/or preparation following departmental protocol; advises radiographers and radiologists of scheduling changes; and maintain a record of radiologist rosters and days off to avoid scheduling conflicts.
