General Diesel Mechanic Required

We have a position for a Diesel Mechanic with Comprehensive knowledge and experience of:
Engine Mechanics – Commercial vehicles i.e. Nissan UD’s, Toyota Hino’s, Mercedes Benz Axor/Actross/etc.

Passenger vehicles i.e. All makes & models

Electrical & Hydraulic – Knowledge of electrical systems of passenger vehicles, commercials
vehicles and involving Hydraulic systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of Hydraulic Systems Operations on all types of lifting equipment i.e. forklifts, loaders, tail lifts, reach lifts, specially built vehicles, etc.

Applicant must have a valid license (ECI/EC with PDP) and own
transport.

The applicant must be a South African Citizen. (valid passport
preferable)

About the position:
The position entails repairs and maintenance to mostly commercial vehicles, mechanical and electrical, from engine service to gearbox repairs.
NO Yellow Machines (CAT, Liebherr, etc)

The position entails repairs and maintenance to hydraulic lifting equipment. Repairs to a forklift, hi-loader, tail lift, special builds, etc.
Previous work experience relating to forklift repairs will be advantageous.

The position entails attending to Workshop based repairs as well as on site assistance and repairs which involves travelling. Good geographical knowledge required. Requires sleep out travelling including cross border trips on occasion. Collection and delivery of vehicles to clients/suppliers.

Standard working hours (7-5) with early Fridays, and two Saturdays per month. Compulsory annual leave.
