PURPOSE STATEMENT
Responsible for the effective day-to-day shift management of cinema operations and the cinema team with specific regard to:
maintaining products and standards of operation
maximising customer satisfaction
ensuring all operational efforts achieve the organisational strategies and objectives
maximising operational efficiencies
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric (Grade 12)
Ability to work shifts
Own transport
Systems
MS Office Suite (Basic)
SAP
VISTA advantageous
Working Experience
1 – 3 years’ work experience in a similar role (relevant)
TASKS
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Control
Efficient stock control methods: optimal stock, stock days, Cost of Sales
Ensure float management and control
Manage and control cashier variances
Stock management and responsibility
Responsible for end to end banking processed and monies received
Control of all vouchers and complimentaries issued
Shift Management
Ensure cinema is opened and closed at the correct times
Ensure sufficient stock available in line with forecasts and operational requirements
Staff work orders to be in line with operational requirements
Shift preparation processes to be adhered to and implemented timeously
Put in place staff scheduling and duty allocations to ensure optimal staffing and all duties are executed accordingly
Manage support departments including cleaning services
Handle shift briefings/handovers/shift reports
Interact and be present on the cinema floor during service to understand and assist clients with requests, special requirements, recommendations, concerns, resolution of complaints, etc.
Manage all refunds, readmissions and complimentaries issued
Manage staff appearance and cinema appearance/ functioning of equipment and systems for the outlet
Report and resolve any issues experienced
Managing stock as per SOP
Liaise with F&B on food and beverage offering and service
Communicate changes in regulations and the business requirements to staff
Communicates cinema’s objectives, standards and operating procedures to internal and external service providers as per SLA
Monitor & provide input to strategy with regards optimal product and Content mix
Implements business action plans
Monitors and report on product performance and include in shift report
Exception/Variance reports/journals as per SOP
Ensure excellent levels of operational efficiencies through company provided processes and procedures
Provide input into the post-mortem of all strategies implemented
Manage Technical, ICT, and projection related issues
Adhere at all times to legislative, and health and safety processes
Adhere to cinema specific obligations and processes i.e. Pizza Hut and Prestige
People Management
Manage staff conditions of employment, e.g. attendance, absenteeism, leave, adherence to policies and procedures
Manage productivities and payroll costs for the cinema
Identification of employee training needs
Perform on the job training and coaching to close developmental gaps and build succession for a talent pipeline within the cinema
Manage employee relations within the cinema
Effective use of the performance management cycle
Staff communication and motivation
Performance contracting, reviews and development
Provides resources and removes obstacles to performance
Recruit and resource for talent for positions within the cinema
Onboarding of new staff members
Drive Culture through SKT Way Behaviours and Values
Create a communication pipe-line between staff and senior managers
Corporate Governance / Compliance
Ensure compliance to all company and legislative standards
Train staff/or ensure staff are trained on all relevant legislations, policies and processes and ensure that all are upheld
Report on all instances of non-compliance
Conduct walkabouts of all cinema areas, both front of house and back of house areas to monitor compliance
Monitor staff to ensure adherence to all processes, policies, procedures and legislation to eliminate elements of unethical behavior
Customer Experience
Ensures that customers are treated with courtesy and respect always
Staff training on cinema products (including promotion information, functions, facilities, etc.)
Shift hand over ensures that staff can provide customer with relevant insight
Report on footfalls and customer attendances and analyze trends
Remember customers to create unique experiences for repeat customers
Maintain visible management presence in the cinema at all times
Provide support to cinema staff
Planning & Decision Making
Organize, plan and priorities tasks to ensure that work gets done profitably and efficiently
Effective scheduling to ensure that team is adequately resourced to achieve targets/meet job requirements.
Have short -term plans for use of stock and other cinema products
Utilize given guidelines to plan and make decisions on behalf of the cinema
Assist in all marketing, sales and event execution plans and make provision for all foreseeable obstacles
Problem Solving
Provide information and make recommendations regarding services that will meet customer needs
Solve a wide range of queries related to customer service, dealing with these sensitively and within operational/procedural limitations
Resolve all conflict within company guidelines and processes
