Main duties:
Ensure legal compliance of the pharmacy at all times and maintain a state of readiness for inspection by an authority
Ensure all aspects of the RP’s responsibility as per the SA GMP guideline are covered at all time
Oversee DRP and regulatory work to maintain current registrations
Liaise with 3rd party distributor on any issues and QA management
Batch documentation review and batch release for the SA market
Maintain the QMS to PIC/S GMP standard
Audit local and overseas facilities as and when required
Provide in-house training as per skills matrix and GMP requirements
Compile annual product reviews (local component)
Assist with pharmacovigilance activities as and when required
Review and assist with approval of printed packaging components
Assist with compilation, review, and approval of promotional and advertising material
In conjunction with the Country Manager maintain good relationships with relevant stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
B.Pharm or equivalent degree
Current and active registration as a pharmacist with SAPC
5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry in SA
Specifically QA and/or Production experience
MS Office proficiency at advanced level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Adobe DC/PRO proficiency at advanced level
English speaking on first language level
Strong organizational and management skills
Advantageous
Knowledge of regulatory affairs, dossier management, and eCTD
Additional experience in pharmaceutical industry e.g. pharmacovigilance, compliance
Experience with the manufacture of sterile dosage forms and/or biological products
Additional languages – Afrikaans, German, French, Swedish
Operational Requirements
40 working hours per week
Office bound with flexi-time to be discussed
May be required to work additional hours where critical deadlines need to be met
May be required to travel (including overseas) to meet the business needs
Liaise with European head office and manufacturing sites
Liaise with local warehouse and local staff
