Job Functions:

1. Direct and coordinate the completion of the monthly quick profit estimates and management accounts within prescribed deadlines.

2. Review and follow up issues identified within balance sheet and income statement recons, to ensure that these are produced in an accurate and timely fashion.
3. Reconciliations and make payments to creditors
4. Daily operations of the finance department.
5. Take ownership of processing of some of the more complex journal entries and reconciliations
6. Preparation of budgets.
7. Daily reports on critical areas of the business
8. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and actual expenditures
9. Assisting auditors with reconciliation and supporting documentation regarding divisional entities
10. Payroll and HR Duties

11. SARS Submissions (VAT201 and EMP201)

Requirements

1. Knowledge of Pastel Evolution, Pastel Partner and VIP Payroll.

2. Advanced Excel skills are critical.
3. Ability to solve problems.
4. Ability to multi-task.
5. Knowledge of fundamental finance, accounting and cost control principles with a solid bookkeeping background is critical.
6. Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

7. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.
8. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several tasks.
