Position Purpose:
Examination of machines and lifting equipment in the workshops. Investigate all mechanical unsafe areas and do the required tests to determine the problem and decide how to rectify the unsafe area.
Position outputs:
1. Examinations of machines in the workshops
2. Investigate all mechanical unsafe areas and do the required tests to determine the problem and decide how to rectify the unsafe area.
3. Issuing and co-ordinating all Certificates of Compliance
4. Issuing of Stop Certificates and NCRs
5. Keep all Logbooks and documentation up to date.
6. Follow up on all accreditation of private mechanical contractors
7. Examination of Plant, Machinery and Lifting Equipment
8. Inspect all new incoming lifting equipment, pressurized vessels.
9. Certify and issue log sheets
Qualifications & Experience:
Red Seal (Qualified Millwright by Trade)
Minimum of 5 Year Experience
Registration with ECSA as LMI
Applicants (Internal) must have completed 12 consecutive months in their current position
