Job Description

Timeous preparation and submission of theatre lists
Preparation of admission documents and requirements
Timeously arrangement and co-ordination of anesthetists, assistants and ancillary support on theatre days
Reception duties, bookings at the practice and facilitating clinics
Accurate capturing of patient information, reports, and documentation
Telephone correspondence with patients, clients, and suppliers
Manage email communications
Manage diary entries and correspondence, including travel arrangements – flight and accommodation bookings, both national & international

Requirements

Highly organized with the ability to work well under pressure
Flexible to be available to provide management and support during busy times
Excellent communication and telephone etiquette skills
Excellent interpersonal and professional etiquette skills suitable for a medical environment
Excellent computer literacy and typing skills
Excellent English language skills and grammatical use (Command of Afrikaans will be advantageous)
Team player
Drivers Licence
Working knowledge of electronic office and administration systems
Non-smoker
Microsoft Office competency

Experience

2 – 3 years’ experience working in a medical practice
Working knowledge of Medemass and/or Log box an advantage
A good understanding and knowledge of ICD10 coding

Qualifications:

Post matric diploma and/or undergraduate qualification will be a distinct advantage
Details

Workdays and hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Tuesday and Thursday (Clinic days – be available until 7 if required)
Remuneration: R15 000 – R30 000 depending on expertise, qualifications, and competence
Reporting structure: Report to Practice Manager and/or Doctor
Start date: ASAP
