Handyman / Maintenance Person wanted urgently: Salary R6 500 to R13 000 per month

KEY FUNCTIONS

Perform maintenance and light repairs throughout the factory, admin area, and facilities
Clean aircon filters, extinguishers, hoses, water towers, and ink pumps, and empty oil traps

Perform monthly checks on outside walls, windows, roll-up doors (for greasing), fire escape doors, and emergency lights
Undertake light installation and carpentry (eg. build cabinets)
Repair equipment and appliances
Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or aircon repairs
Repair plumbing, electrical and safety systems
Respond to requests from managers for maintenance services as needed
Assist with set up and clean up for staff functions
Complete and update ‘To-Do List’ as needed to ensure that all tasks that are assigned are completed within a timely manner
Wrap and strap recycled plates as and when required for processing
Drive forklift to assist Production when required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in maintenance or as a handyman
Basic building maintenance skills, painting skills, and plumbing skills
Must be able to work with electrical carpentry equipment
Valid forklift license
Basic math skills
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or aircon systems
Well-organized, can troubleshoot and has attention to detail
Able to work on your own without a lot of supervision
Honest and reliable
Certificates and/or experience with Health and safety will be advantageous
