Master Maths Head Office requires a skilled individual to plan computer-based teaching modules in line with the South African Physical Science school curriculum and supporting teaching documents. Our authors do not require advanced computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word will be sufficient. The Science Author will report directly to the Science Development Manager.

Minimum Requirements

BSc, or equivalent teaching qualification for teaching Physical Science
At least 3 years of experience teaching Physical Science at a matric level.
South African citizen or valid work visa.
Valid driver’s license.

The Master Science Author must:

have a good fundamental knowledge and understanding of matric level Physical Science.
be able to think analytically and innovatively.
have good writing and communication.
show excellent attention to detail.
have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.
be able to work well under pressure.
be able to work in a team or independently, as required
be open to new ways of doing things, and adapt to doing things differently

The following skills will be advantageous:

Fluent in Afrikaans, with a good knowledge of Afrikaans high school level physical science terminology.
Experience with IEB or CIE curricula.
Location of the post: Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa.
