Job Title: Leasing and Administration Agent
A property development and management company, based in Morningside KZN, is currently seeking a vibrant, confident and sharp-shooting Leasing and Administration agent.
Remuneration:
Basic plus commission
Duties and Responsibilities:
New Leases:
Listing of rental properties
Lead generation
Actively seeking potential tenants
Setting up and managing property viewings
Maintaining close relationships with prospective tenants
Drafting offer letters, leases, and other administrative elements
Overseeing credit checks
Key handovers and welcoming to the building
Current Tenants:
Acting as the main point of contact for all current tenants
Tenant retention including regular follow-ups, courtesy calls, and visits
Overseeing maintenance, property inspections, pending renewals and ad hoc tenant requests
Ad Hoc Administrative Assistance (includes but is not limited to):
Drawing up of offers to lease, lease agreements, cancellations, and other administrative requirements
Maintaining a record of renewals, new deals, maintenance requirements, building inspections, lease cancellations, and all other aspects relating to managed properties
Basic financial administration
Any other ad hoc requirements as indicated by management
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Matric
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a sales/customer service role
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in property management, property leasing and/or property administration (including associated software such as MDA Property Central)
Core Competencies:
Understanding and working knowledge of the MSOffice Suite
Confident with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
Solid planning and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, go the extra mile and get your hands dirty as and when required
Customer-focused yet commission-driven
Methodical with a flexible approach depending on the business and/or tenant needs at the time
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Knowledge of KZN roads, areas, routes, landmarks, etc is a must in order to adequately assist prospective tenants in their decision-making process
MUST have a valid, clean driving license and be willing to drive to various meetings as and when required; own vehicle advantageous
