Urgent Position! An exciting career opportunity exists in the Bellville/Kraaifontein area, Western Cape for a Hair Stylist within the Hair and Beauty environment. The salon is an upmarket Hair and Beauty salon in a busy shopping centre. If you have the following behavioural competency and experience, we look forward to receiving your application.
Behavioural Competency

Always maintain the cleanliness of the salon and stations.

Highly presentable and groomed to suit the industry.

Fluent and confident in English.

High regard for guest service and relations.

Target driven.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Punctual and committed.

Duties include the following, but not limited to:

All basin duties (Wash and massage)

Perform all hair treatments.

Cutting

Styling (Blow dries, Flat iron, Tongs, up do’s etc.)

Colour (various including Highlights, Lowlights, Ombré, Sombré, etc.)

Brazilian or similar treatments

Retail

Requirements:

A qualified hairstylist with proven qualifications

Certified to perform all treatments/ trade test.

Qualified to perform all standard ladies styling and colouring treatments.

Experience with working with all textured hair types.

5 years’ experience working in a salon as a hairstylist

Able to work with Chemical straighteners.

Candidate must be available immediately

Bonus Skills:

Hair Extensions

Makeup

Nails i.e. manicures and pedicures, Gel app and nail extensions

Trading Hours:

Mon-Fri 09:00 till 18:00

Saturday 09:00 till 16:00

Closed on Sundays and selected public holidays

1 Full weekend off per month

6 shifts per week

Must be flexible to accommodate occasional overtime based on operations.

Salary: R8000 + commission
