Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a CCTV Operator at our Distribution Centre in KZN. You will be required to monitor CCTV screens for the prevention of theft, vandalism, larceny, and sabotage. Perform roving patrol checks of all gates/posts. Ensure that the guards are following procedures and all post orders and security forms are maintained and updated.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:
Grade 12 / Matric
Grade C accreditation with the PSIRA

A minimum of 3 years CCTV control room experience in a warehousing/distribution center environment

Advantageous:
At least 2 years CCTV control room experience in a pharmaceutical warehousing environment and Hikvision experience

Job Specification:

Coordinate Security patrols within the facility and record situation report from all security sites/deployment arrears.
Coordinate actions of the security response unit, deployment of security personnel at the scene of an incident and coordinate field surveillance activities within the Port facility.
Monitor and control CCTV cameras, detection and associated security systems.
Liaise with security/emergency/police service control rooms during a security incident
Monitor movement of trucks, pallets and all products within the facility and upkeep of emergency procedures and contact details of first responders.
Safeguarding of Control Room Equipment as per the handing over the entry.
Inform CCTV HOD of any suspected/suspicious illegal activities
Preserve, extract, prepare and present video or digital recordings and still images evidence acquired through the monitoring systems for the purpose of internal and external hearings.
Note and report any deviations to the rules
Compile incident reports and capture security incidents on the logbook
Maintain security registers in use in the control room.
Regular testing and control communication medium between the control room and guards deployed in the facility.
Maintain Security system register including tests and calibrations of security equipment, condition, and status of security lighting and power supplies, the status of locks to restricted arrears, safes and strong rooms, condition, and status of fencing (perimeter, facility and restricted arrears).
