Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position based in SA Distilleries at the Goudini Distillery. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Winemaker.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to :

Effective Bulk filtration of all unfortified, fortified and M131 products
Ensure efficient functioning of Filtration equipment
Perform autonomous maintenance on filters
Assist with the transferring from and to submerged system
Assist in Offloading and loading of bulk products Dry Wine, Fortified wines, Lees wine, Spirits, M160)
Assist with transfer of bulk components for blending
Assist with physical blending of all fortifieds and M131 Savanna
Assist in the monthly Bulk Stock Take process
Execution of daily tasks and activities to achieve departmental targets
Ensure daily tasks are done according to company procedures and work instructions
Compliance with SHEQ standards
Maintain cellar hygiene standards
Apply strict and accurate loss control
Effective record-keeping
Active participation in TRACC team activities
Participate in effective problem solving

The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills, and experience:

Matric Certificate
At least 3 years’ experience in a cellar environment
Ability to work under pressure
Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards will be advantageous
Willing and able to work extended hours (overtime) as and/or when required
Physically healthy and strong
Own reliable transport
A valid code 10 driver’s licence and a valid PDP will be an advantage
A forklift license will be an advantage
Skop 2 will be an advantage
Participate in mini-business meetings
Contribute to problem – solving activities
