JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure 100% accurate loading and offloading of delivery vehicles, containers and transfer containers to and from our internal and external clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the process of picking products, forklift and Reach Truck Driver activity
Sealing of all delivery vehicles and monitor stock in Airlock
Ensure temperature rotation and halves returned to the Cold Room
Monitoring of temperatures
Pack products on pallets, loading of trucks and containers
De-stacking of pallets and Fill-ups
Labelling of products and creation of Qwix labels
To ensure accurate completion of all control charts
O ensure accurate completion of the stock count exercise on the stipulated days
To ensure removal of all forms of waste e.g. Shrink-wrap, broken pieces of pallets, boxes, and inners
To ensure all floors and walls are washed and all areas are cleaned
Ensuring that all internal and external doors, cold room doors and loading bays remain closed except during official cold room function
To ensure the cleaning and return of equipment into designated areas after being used
To ensure the reporting of all breakdowns immediately
Ensure complete compliance to Health and Safety regulations as prescribed by all sections pertaining to cold-rooms e.g. protective clothing, thermal requirements, etc.
To ensure the application and adherence to all Company Policies, Procedures and Practises, which may be updated from time to time
Packing and stacking palletization and de-palletization of master onto pallets
Ensure general maintenance. e.g. painting, equipment, buildings, floors, stairs etc.to be deducted when required
To ensure dock levellers forms a seal against loading doors when not in use.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, and COMPETENCIES:
Grade 12
Able to read, comprehend and legibly write English or Afrikaans
Basic arithmetic skills (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division)
Valid forklift, Reach Truck and Tow motor Licence
Computer Literacy (Microsoft, Excel, MS Word)
Ability to lift boxes up to 40 kg up to 40 cm from the floor
Ability to lift 25kg above the head from the floor
Able to operate digital and dial scales
Should have good hearing, motor driving ability, and good eyesight
Able to work as part of a team
Work with minimum supervision for 90% if the day after tasks were issues
Must be prepared to work overtime when needed
