Maintenance Mechanic Position

Niagara Falls chemical manufacturer is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic. Performing services to property and equipment as prescribed to maintain the plant.

General Job duties include, but are not limited to

Pipe fitting
Machining
Mechanical repairs to equipment
Welding and brazing
Building service and repairs
Installation of equipment and supports
Housekeeping
Various types of work necessary to support operations of the plant
Analyze problems and troubleshoot equipment to effect resolution
May be required to move or lift 50lbs.

Position is a rotating shift assignment, supporting 247 continuous operation.

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of process piping, auto valves and dry packaging a plus.
Must be able to work on gearboxes, agitators, and pumps.

May be required to move or lift up to 50lbs.

Good oral and written communication skills, experience with the use of personal computers and prior chemical plant experience preferred.

Qualifications:
Education High school or equivalent
Required Knowledge Rigging, welding theory, pipe fitting, pump repair
Experience Needed Journeyman Plant Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent
