Stock Controller wanted immediately: Salary R7 000 to R12 000 per month

We are looking for an experienced and mature Stock Controller who is energetic and self-motivated, can work under pressure and put in extra efforts to meet tight deadlines while paying close attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Storage of stock

Responsible for the neat, orderly and safe storage of all stock
Ensure all products are correctly labelled
Stock Take

Conduct a weekly stock take
Co-ordinate and manage stocktakes and cycle count
Report the above to management
Issuing and labelling of stock

Checking of stock according to picking slip
Communicating availability of stock to sales and management
Ensure every item is correctly bar coded and labelled
Receiving new stock

Co-ordinate the physical receiving of new stock on local and international deliveries
Check documentation for deliveries received
Stock control systems

Conduct regular checks to ensure the physical quantities match the system quantities

Ideal candidate will have:

· Sound judgement and a pro-active approach to problem-solving and decision making

· Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office

· Willingness to work overtime from time to time

· South African citizen

· High school degree or equivalent, tertiary qualification will be advantageous

· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Analytical, Critical Thinking & Planning skills.

· Strong planning and organisational skills including good interpersonal and communication skills to work with management and staff at all levels

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R7,000.00 to R12,000.00 /month depending on experience

Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the same or similar position
