JOB DESCRIPTION: FORKLIFT DRIVER

We’re looking for a hard-working individual for a Forklift Driver position to join us at Solar MD; located in Montague Gardens. As a new and exciting venture, we want a dynamic individual who is motivated, enthusiastic and reliable.

Forklift Requirements:

· Driving a forklift requires special skills and knowledge / valid license

· Always watch for pedestrians Be aware of load and lift limits

· Have sound knowledge of how heavy mobile machinery operates

Forklift Responsibilities:

· Controls and drives a forklift truck in order to move goods and materials within the warehouse

· Key Tasks Moves or stacks different products or materials within the warehouse

· Carries raw materials to the manufacturing facility and deliver these finished products to assigned distribution areas

· Responsible for performing of pre-examination in order to assure the working capability of the forklift

· Responsible for reporting any damages that may occur while he is driving the forklift

· Loads or unloads items off transportation vehicles

· Removing of shafts from finished rolls and fitting new core

· Stacks materials at the specified locations in a safe manner

We Can’t Live Without:

· Team leadership – effective team leadership helps logistics team leaders motivate, direct, and advise shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel

· Lifting and carrying – because you will work in a warehouse setting and will be expected to help to load and unload shipments, the ability to lift and carry heavy objects and remain standing for extended periods of time are both important

· Record-keeping –a great deal of record-keeping, tracking shipping and receiving data and updating inventors

· Written and verbal communication –effectively communicate with team members and management to resolve customer issues and answer questions

· Training and assessment –participate in staff training and evaluation to ensure a high level of customer service

Salary is market-related and dependent on skill/experience
