Creditors Clerk needed urgently: APPLY HERE

Purpose:
The Creditors Clerk processes payments to suppliers accurately and timeously to ensure an uninterrupted supply of all raw and other materials and services.

Specification
Creates and maintains an effective and updated filing system for creditors’ documentation.
Files all documentation weekly to ensure efficient retrieval and a tidy workstation.
Processes all payments within specific payment terms.
Invoices appropriately matched to purchase order and GRN with absolute accuracy as to quantity, price, description of items and other document information
Ensures invoices are recorded and paid timeously
Processes Delivery Notes promptly.
Identifies actions and clears unmatched transactions before the following month end to ensure that we only goods received are paid and obtains credit for goods returned.
Clears reconciling items before next payment is due or the following month end, whichever comes first.
Prepares monthly creditors reconciliations and prompt clearing of reconciling items.
Ensures that all items over 60 days are cleared as outstanding items.
Does monthly reconciliation of accounts payable trial balance to general ledger control accounts.
Ensures resolution of reconciling items before closing sub ledger.
Follows up on all outstanding invoices as per supplier’s statements
Obtains details from internal teams/creditors and compile master data by capturing all information accurately.
Performs periodic reconciliation of key creditor balances.
Responds to creditors when they provide account statements and proactively escalate any concerns, by suitable documentation.
Prepares an age-analysis of creditors’ balances for account manager’s review.

Requirements

Relevant qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce advantageous
Min 3 years working experience in Manufacturing and / or Mining
Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
SAP preferred
