Accounts Payable Controller required: APPLY HERE

New Media is looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic team player to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be fastidious and have an excellent eye for detail. If you choose brave in all that you do, read on.
Key responsibilities:
Full creditors function working on SAP
Ensuring adherence to the financial policies and procedures
Receipt and control of documentation for payment to ensure that only approved and valid transactions are processed
Controlling payment of creditors invoices
Processing and controlling freelance payments
Processing weekly and monthly electronic transfers
Ensuring that all payments are timeously and accurately processed
Keeping information up to date
Working as a team player to relieve other creditor-related duties in the department
Assisting in data capture and acting as administrative support to the senior AP controller and Finance department – includes switchboard-relief duty, filing and archiving
Essential requirements
Matric with accountancy and mathematics
Proven experience as a billing clerk or general accounting experience
Computer literacy (MS Office)
Good working knowledge of Excel
Strong problem-solving and reconciliation ability
Ability to work with a team under pressure and to strict deadlines
Good numeracy skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills
A further accounting qualification and/or SAP experience would be advantageous.
