Are you comfortable with utilizing manufacturing machinery, such as grinders and lens meters to ensure each lens is curved to the correct prescription for individual patients? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Lab Technician to join our team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to the following)

Glazing lenses into frames
Quality control of complete spectacles
Reporting quality issues to management
Maintain Service and Delivery
Schedules Administration Duties – order, capture, packing and dispatch
Follow standard operating procedures
Perform testing procedures
Maintain and clean machines
Blocking and polishing lenses
Monitor machines during procedures
Create and maintain activity logs

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Grade 12
Computer Literate
Telephone etiquette
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience within Optometric industry advantageous
Optical knowledge beneficial
1-year experience essential
