Job Description:
ITB Flexible Packaging Solutions (ITB) is a flexible plastic packaging manufacturer and part of the Novus Holdings Group. ITB produces an array packaging for the FMCG and food markets. Its products include retail bags, security bags, FFS food packaging, heavy-duty sacks, and carrier bags which are distributed across South Africa and abroad.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensuring vehicles roadworthiness, cleanliness, and neatness at all times • Packing and loading products onto vehicles according to company’s specifications • Record daily trip sheet • Maintaining of POD file and trip sheet on a daily basis • Delivering of goods to customers on assigned routes • Ensuring relevant invoices and cocs are obtained • Maintaining ongoing communication with Despatch supervisor/ Manager and clients of the company • Unloading of goods as per clients’ specifications • Reviewing deliveries with clients to ensure products meet their needs • Obtaining delivery confirmations from each client
Educational Requirements:
Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
• At least 2 years truck driving experience (preferably in big cities ). • Willingness and ability to work overtime as and when required.
Skills and Competencies:
• Valid South African code 10 drivers’ licence with a clean driving record with references. • A person with sober habits • Valid South African Public Driving Permit (PDP) • Ability to pass company driving test, background check, drug, and alcoholic test. • Strong customers service skills • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Must possess a positive and professional attitude • Ability to speak, read and write English • Ability to work well under pressure • Hyster Driver’s license will be an added advantage
