Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing the sale of the company’s products on the export market and actively promoting the company’s image as a major international supplier in the specialty chemicals and plastics additives markets
Responding to overseas enquiries relating to the company’s products
Providing and negotiating quotes in conjunction with the Sales logistics manager, according to marginal figures, lead price fluctuations and exchange rate fluctuations
Negotiating terms of payment and delivery rates
Ensuring the maintenance of competitive freighting expenses
Purchasing foreign currency according to order requirements and the terms of payment
Producing administration documents required for Customs and Excise
Producing and liaising with banks on various documentation requirements relating to the terms of payment
Confirming appropriation of shipments with customers
Organising CGIC insurance for orders on credit and administers
Reporting on all debtors not in compliance with group policy
Conducting monthly variance analysis of export sales
Conducting various projects relating to exports
Gather market intel on our products in the export market and identify other opportunities for growth etc.
Ensuring debtors adhere to terms of payment and that monies are collected with the terms of payment and company policy
Ensuring company compliance with current export and trade legislation and providing a service function to the group in respect of the above
Managing the financial administration of the export function: costing, budgeting, statistic reports, calculating commission, profit, and loss of sales

Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric
Export Degree/ Diploma
3 years’ experience in a similar role
Computer literacy (Syspro, MS Office)
General Sales or Export Administration in terms of International norms
Negotiation skills
Financial Administration of the export function
