Independent Contractor/Delivery Driver needed urgently: Salary up to R780 per day
Food Delivery Driver Job Summary:
We are looking for an independent contractor (Driver) to engage in the business of performing a reliable service of food delivery to ensure transporting of food items safely and in a timely manner. The contractor may be in the form of an individual or a corporate entity. The contractor will be responsible to pick and deliver food items to customers who made an order for home delivery.
You will be delivering top-notch, lower, and middle customers so you must communicate clearly and professionally. Your duties involve ensuring timely delivery of orders at the assigned route and reviewing deliveries with customers to ensure that their orders meet their needs. As a contractor you will be opted to pay your own insurance if you have one or get the one we offer to cover for your emergency medical expenses, defamation, and wrongful arrest, accidental death cover, and products including workmanship cover.
Contractor (Driver) Responsibilities and Duties:
Loading, conveying and delivering food items to different customers in a timely manner
Professional interaction with customers for taking orders
Count and verify all parcels before leaving the restaurant
Coordinate with management and other department ensuring customer satisfaction
Inspect containers to ensure they are good enough to present for delivery to customers
Maintaining bike/car and food dispensing equipment
Delivering the food items using commercial vehicle safely and efficiently
Listening to customer complaint and reporting to the concerned manager
Maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the delivery transport that you use
Contractors’ (Food Delivery Driver) Skills and Qualification:
Valid Driver’s Licence
Your own motorbike, light vehicle registration documents must be attached, a Confirmation letter from bank, proof of address and ID Copy/Passport
If you don’t have a motorbike/light vehicle you can still apply and hire a motorbike (insured)
Should maintain professionalism
Being safety conscious
Should possess superb conversation skill
Able to work during weekends and holidays
Should possess a clean driving record
Strong time management skill
