JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 (Std 10) or equivalent academic qualification. Diploma in Transport Management or equivalent qualification will be an advantage. Valid Code EC, AC1 0.4 or C drivers licence and PrDP will be useful but not a requirement. Minimum Four (04) years’ previous working experience in a similar working environment in Operations. Experience in handling of IR issues. Adequate computer literacy.

JOB OUTPUTS:

Supervise and monitor daily activities of subordinates. Control and supervise dispatch functions including the allocation of buses and driver shifts. Ensure availability of drivers / buses according to scheduled requirements. Ensure the availability of Dispatchers at the Depots, Parking Grounds and route control points. Ensure that all incidents, accidents, breakdowns etc are recorded and communicated to the applicable departments. Inform operations staff regarding any abnormalities.

Ensure the correctness and analyses of all registers and reports, controlled and submitted by subordinates. Complete and update all relevant registers and documents necessary in the transport office. Ensure availability of buses to workshop for maintenance. Maintain discipline. Maintain the required infrastructure and proper housekeeping in area of responsibility. Perform other ad hock tasks as required.
