Job Description:

Perform daily routine inspection of the forklift under his/her control and report defects to the warehouse supervisor. * Ensure that the forklift under his or her control is kept clean and in an orderly fashion. * Inspecting stock in the dispatch staging area against picking slips o Verify physical stock o Verify batch numbers o Check condition of stock to be dispatched o Confirm that all documents are available before loading * Inspect all vehicles before loading or offloading o Correct truck for the load (capacity) o Vehicle is roadworthy o Vehicle is clean and free from potential contamination * Ensure that stock is loaded according to the picking slips/dispatch notes o All stock is loaded and secured o All documents are provided to the driver o Loading inspection is conducted and signed off by AECI Food and Beverage forklift driver and the driver of the vehicle. * Day-to-day organization and hygiene of the loading yard. * The forklift operator will also be required to assist with all stock takes and cycle counts * Ad hoc warehouse duties

Qualifications &  Experience:

Matric qualification * Valid Forklift and/or Reach Truck license * Literacy in English, both orally and in writing * Mechanical aptitude * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice(GMP) and Food Safety(HACCP)Competencies
Attention to detail * Communication skills * Work under pressure * Team player * Initiative * Safety awareness
