Our client is looking to hire junior semi-skilled welders on a part and full time basis for their engineering firm in Stellenbosch. This is a perfect position for those of you who are still students looking to gain work experience.

Salary per month: market-related (will vary according to if you are working full time or part-time)

As a part-time worker you will work 4 shifts a week (8-hour shifts)

Minimum Requirements:

At least 6 months previous welding experience or more.
Ability to work effectively as part of a large team.
Must be willing to work 4 shifts a week (8 hours each).
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Deftness and attention to detail.
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) .
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
Must be able to start as soon as possible

Duties:

Welding of metals through established manufacturing processes with minimum instruction and minimum supervision.
Perform complete welding and finishing operations for the repair of units.
Accurately maintain required records.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned work area.
Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs.
Assist other new welders in learning welding skills.
Other work as assigned.
