Key Responsibilities:
Capture and allocate Cash book data and bank reconciliation
Data capturing – Finalise books to Trial Balance
Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and related General Ledger Accounts
Reconciliation of Petty cash and general expenses
Processing and month end provisions and reconciliations of general ledger – all month end journals
Complete and accurate recording and allocation of Income Statement items
General Administration & data capturing
Retrieves documentation and provides information for the Auditor, as required, during the annual audit
Provides back-up assistance to other member of the team and requests from Director
Consistently demonstrates willingness to assist the Finance team to ensures smooth operations in department
Contributes positively towards a professional and peasant working environment in the department and company
Always communicates professionally with colleagues and managers
Skills, Abilities, and Job-Related Knowledge:
Accounting knowledge
Experience in retail environment beneficial
Strong attention to detail a and excellent numerical skills
Bilingual (English & Afrikaans) beneficial
Long term vision
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Requirements:
Matric + Bookkeeping qualification, Degree/ Diploma in Accounting
3 years’ relevant accounting experience
Excellent Computer literacy (MS Office – Word, Excel & Outlook)
Working knowledge of account software packages
Salary: R 144 000 p.a. – R168 000 p.a. (neg.)
