VACANCY: WILDLIFE DRIVER

THREE (03) PERMANENT POST

CLOSING DATE: 25 July 2022

Three (03) challenging permanent positions currently exists for Wildlife Drivers to assist in transport, capture, holding and relocation of animals according to agreed deliverables at Wintershoek Wild.

Minimum Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and / or abilities required for the job:

5 years experience in the wildlife capture industry.
Job-related knowledge of wildlife industry standard operations procedures
Experience in handling of wildlife
A valid Code EC driver’s license with a valid PDP
Willing to work flexible hours e.g. weekends & after hours if and when required
Must be in good physical health
Understanding of basic principles of animal welfare
Own transport and accommodation (no staff housing is available)
No criminal record – SAPS Verification will be done.

Key performance areas entail:

Driving of trucks, tractors, LDV and vehicle trailers as required
Transport of animals in compliance with legislation
Assist in capture, holding and relocation operations
Maintenance of capture vehicles and equipment.
Care of captured wildlife.
