Long Distance Driver (Code 14 + PDP)
Cape Town to Namibia
We are looking to appoint an experienced Long Distance Driver with a valid Code 14 + PDP for our route between Cape Town and Namibia. The ideal candidate must have a valid passport and preferably have experience transporting on this route.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The successful candidate must have a valid PDP and Code 14 Drivers License.
The successful candidate must have a valid passport that does not expire within the next 6 Months.
Previous driving history between Cape Town and Namibia will be advantageous.
3-5 years’ experience in the long-Distance Transport industry.
Previous experience in logistics will be required.
Good, Interpersonal, Leadership, motivation planning, and Communicating (verbal & written) skills.
Must have a clear criminal record.
Must be of sober habits with a clear accident record.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Inspect loads during receipt and dispatch process.
· Ensure that loads are scheduled accordingly.
· Vehicle must be constantly monitored and inspected.
· Communication must be maintained whilst on route.
· Problems must be identified and resolved or reported.
· Prescribed reports and/or documentation must be completed and updated.
· Communication must be maintained with clients with regards to delays, breakdown, or other logistical issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: R1.00 – R2.00 per month
