The rate of pay is R40ph

R160 per person per day travel allowance on trips

The role of the code 14 driver is to provide support to the despatch team, by completing deliveries and pick-ups timeously and efficiently. The role requires the driver to be hands-on and assist with on-loading and off-loading the truck while ensuring the necessary policies, procedures and protocols are followed when carrying out required tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

o Matric or equivalent qualification

o Road Traffic legislation and Health & Safety legislation

o National Driver License – EC/EC1

o Valid PDP

o 3 Years articulated and/or rigid driving experience

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Ability to work independently and as a team member

o Willing to learn and apply knowledge

o Accuracy, reliability, trustworthiness and integrity

o Attention to quality and able to carry out Instructions given Conduct pre-trip inspection of trucks and trailers

o Record and report all defects o Interior and exterior vehicle cleanliness/

o Trips are completed in accordance with laid down standards

o Supervise and assist with loading of the trailer
