Candidate requirements:

Sound understanding of a computerised stock management system.
3 – 5 years’ experience as a Storeman
At least 1-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Experience in the hospitality industry is an added advantage.
Well-organised with excellent multi-tasking abilities. Able to manage multiple events simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
Outstanding vendor management skills
Proficient in MS Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills Requirements:

Responsible for managing the store man and driver’s schedules to ensure optimum working times over the 7day week as well as delivery times, travel times and fuel consumption to satellite events.
Ensures that all stock issues and receipts are done according to set policies and procedures and all transactions are done on a daily basis.
Responsible for ensuring that stock counts are completed in all stores and that they have been posted onto the system.
Investigates count variances immediately and implements corrective procedures.
Assist in the purchasing department as required, only purchasing food and beverage items from approved suppliers.
Coaches all team continuously.
Ensures that the area is always maintained, clean and organized according to standards.

MINIMUM:

EDUCATION Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
