Pastry Sous Chef– International Cruise Line
Salary Package: $3200 per month + benefits
Rotation: 6 months on 2 months off
We are currently looking for a Pastry Sous Chef to form part of the Culinary Arts management team and lead the pastry and bakery operations of the ship.
- Maintain company standards of food presentation and service.
- Assist and direct his /her team of pâtissier and monitor the quality of food taste and presentation.
- Someone who is passionate and has great interpersonal skills.
- Experience in fine dining and formal dining desserts and advanced plating techniques.
- Advanced chocolate and confectionery, Petite fours, Mignardises and Friandises, Ice Creams, sorbets, and gelato.
- Has excellent bakery techniques, including French and Italian bread and sourdough and advanced Viennoisserie.
- Is a great mentor and leader and who loves to engage with the team.
- Has an eye for detail, is organized and has good understanding of the business side of things.
- Ideally, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s in Hotel Management or an equivalent in Culinary Arts.
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbal and written.
- Cruise line experience or work exposure at a 4/5-star property.
