Job Description and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage the gym facility, gym assistants and group exercise programmes • Recommend an exercise regime to ensure safe and effective training methods at the Gym • Coordinate injury prevention and health and wellness awareness campaigns and events • Assess, observe and assist employees with chronic (lifestyle) diseases, musculoskeletal complaints, and physical limitations, through a structured rehabilitation and ergonomics program • Assist in the work re-integration process following prolonged sick absences, with a team of professionals • Conduct ergonomic risk assessments of work areas and assist with guidance and recommendations as part of injury prevention program • Coordinate and support injury prevention and injury management programs

Education and Experience
• Minimum NQF 9 (Post Graduate Qualification in Ergonomics, Human movement or a closely related field is a minimum requirement) • Affiliated with a registered body (ESSA, BASA, HFPA)

Skills, Attributes & Other requirements:
• Sound understanding of Ergonomics principles • Working knowledge of the OHS Act & the Ergonomic regulations • Experience working in an industrial environment would be advantageous • Experience in ergonomic assessments and report writing • Exercise and/or rehabilitation experience • Experience working with/in a team of medical professionals • Ability to analyze data and interpret results into a simplified means for feedback purposes • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Advanced computer skills (MS Office) • Ability to perform research and apply to practical situations • Good presentation skills • Ability to work independently with highly motivated approach • Effective people management skills • Ability to provide constructive feedback and reports.
