Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
Set comprehensive goals for performance and scheme growth.
Establish policies that promote Scheme culture and vision.
Oversee daily operations of the Scheme and the work of the Scheme’s Management (IT, Marketing, Sales, Facilities Management, etc.) and/or Healthcare Service Providers (Administrators, Marketing, Managed Care, etc).
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
Write and submit reports to the Principal Officer in all matters of importance.
Participate in Healthcare Cost / Risk management activities.
Manage relationships with partners/vendors according to scheme policies, mandates, contracts and SLA’s.
Requirements:
Post-Graduate Degree (Honors) NQF Level 8 (Management; Legal; Business or Commercial).
Graduate Degree NQF Level 7 (Management; Legal; Business; Commercial).
Operational – Sound understanding and exposure within the private healthcare industry; Dealing with people at all levels and to engage in a variety of relationships.
Management – Experience in general management within the private healthcare industry.
Executive Management – Experience on executive level within the private healthcare industry.
Relevant Certification/s with affiliation with relevant institutes.
In-depth understanding business- and financial processes, methodology and practices; Sound knowledge of Act 131 of 1998 of Medical Schemes; Contract- and Project management; King III.
Relevant extensive experience and working knowledge of business operations.
Sound knowledge of the medical schemes/healthcare / financial insurance services industry.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure.
